CALL FOR AWARD NOMINATIONS

The National DHIA annual meeting will be held at Trade Winds Island Grand Resort, St. Pete Beach, Florida, March 11 – 12, 2010. You are invited to nominate candidates for the National DHIA Outstanding Service Award, National DHIA H. Victor Joachim Distinguished Leadership Award, and the Martin A. Wilson Memorial Award. The awards will be presented at the annual meeting. Please share this with colleagues who may be interested in submitting nominations.

National DHIA Outstanding Service Award is presented to a person who has been dedicated to the improvement of DHIA for many years and has provided notable leadership to advance the DHIA.

National DHIA H. Victor Joachim Distinguished Leadership Award is presented to a DHIA dairy producer and/or spouse who has been a leader in DHIA or the dairy industry, and rendered outstanding and unselfish service for many years, as well as making a notable contribution to advancing DHIA in the United States.

Martin A. Wilson Memorial Award is presented to a worthy person who has been employed in a DHIA management position for at least five years and has been dedicated to improving DHIA. Additionally, the candidate has provided leadership to promote the advancement of DHIA.

The 2010 Nomination Form and appropriate biographical form must be completed and received in the National DHIA office by close of business on Monday, December 15, 2009. Forms sent via United States Postal Service, e-mail or fax are acceptable, but nominations will not be accepted via telephone.
